Dr. Hurst graduated with her PhD in counseling psychology from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, after receiving a master's degree in psychology from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Hurst has practiced in the Dallas area for more than 25 years, providing therapy to individuals, couples and families. She opened her own office in 1993, where she continues to provide professional therapy, counseling and psychological evaluations specializing in marital relationships, depression and anxiety. Dr. Hurst is known for her compassion, intelligence and commitment to helping her clients live healthy, successful lives.
